Across the region, we continue to face the impacts of climate change, rising food costs, global uncertainty and supply chain disruptions. Yet even in the midst of these challenges, Jamaica remains incredibly optimistic about the future of Caribbean agriculture and the immense potential that exists within our region.

We believe the Caribbean is entering a new era; one driven by innovation, resilience, youth involvement, technology and stronger regional collaboration. That is why this year’s theme, “The New F.A.C.E. of Caribbean Food Systems – Transformation and Resilience,” is so fitting for this moment.

As a region, we have the talent, the creativity and the determination to build food systems that are stronger, smarter and more sustainable for generations to come.

Over the course of the week, I look forward to the important discussions, partnerships and ideas that will emerge as we continue advancing regional food security and creating new opportunities for growth and investment across the agricultural sector.

And of course, beyond the meetings and engagements, we are excited to share the warmth, culture and hospitality of the Jamaican people with all our visitors.
